Most moving companies in Southwest Florida will not put a number on their website. We think you should know the range before you call. The rates below are what we charge for local moves across Charlotte, Sarasota and Lee counties; your written quote confirms the exact rate for your date and home.

Local moves are billed hourly from the time the crew arrives until the last item is placed, with a 3-hour minimum plus travel time. A 2-mover crew with a truck runs $120 to $150 per hour and suits studios and one-bedroom homes; those moves typically total $400 to $800. A 3-mover crew runs $170 to $200 per hour and is the right size for most two- and three-bedroom homes, which typically total $700 to $1,400. A 4-mover crew runs $210 to $260 per hour for large homes, estates or tight closing-day timelines, typically $1,200 to $2,500 or more.

Every local rate includes the truck, furniture padding and shrink-wrap, floor protection, and standard disassembly and reassembly of beds, tables and similar furniture. You do not pay extra for blankets or basic tools.

What changes the total is time. Stairs and long walks from the door to the truck, condo elevators and building move windows, the distance between addresses, how much is packed before the crew arrives, and heavy specialty items such as pianos, safes and appliances all add minutes. The fastest way to lower your bill is to have boxes packed, sealed and labeled, furniture emptied, and parking reserved close to the door.

Packing services, plastic moving bin rentals (from $149), storage and junk removal can be added to the same quote. Long-distance and interstate moves are priced by weight and distance after an in-person or video inventory survey; a typical two-bedroom move across Florida runs about $2,500 to $4,500 or more, and a two-bedroom move from Florida to another Southeastern state about $3,000 to $5,500 or more. Boxes-only and partial loads cost less.
